RevStar partnered with Greater Vancouver Food Bank to modernize its client intake experience with a cloud-based platform that connects web, conversational, and phone-based interactions. The solution streamlines intake, eligibility, scheduling, and client communications while creating a more accessible experience for the growing community GVFB serves.
Established a scalable digital foundation for multi-channel client intake, automated eligibility workflows, appointment scheduling, and centralized operational insights, helping GVFB expand access while equipping its teams to serve a growing client community more efficiently.
The Challenge
As Greater Vancouver Food Bank continued supporting a growing and diverse community, the organization saw an opportunity to make client intake more accessible across different needs, languages, and preferred ways of interacting.
GVFB wanted to give clients greater flexibility to begin the intake process digitally, conversationally, or by phone while continuing to provide staff-assisted support for those who need it.
At the same time, bringing intake, eligibility, scheduling, and operational data into a more connected experience would give GVFB teams greater visibility and create a scalable foundation for evolving community needs.
The Problem
The organization wanted to simplify how client information moves from registration through eligibility and appointment scheduling, while maintaining assisted options for clients and giving internal teams more centralized access to operational data and insights.
The Solution
RevStar worked closely with Greater Vancouver Food Bank to design a cloud-native client services platform centered around accessibility, flexibility, and operational scale.
The solution creates a unified intake experience across web forms, conversational interactions, and phone-based support, allowing clients to engage through the channel that works best for them. Behind the experience, automated workflows validate and structure submitted information, support account and eligibility processing, coordinate appointment scheduling, and trigger relevant client communications.
Amazon Connect and Amazon Lex support conversational and agent-assisted experiences, while AWS-native serverless processing connects intake data with GVFB's existing card management system. Centralized analytics through Amazon QuickSight also give internal teams dashboards and natural-language data exploration capabilities to better understand registrations, eligibility outcomes, demographics, and program operations.
Together, these capabilities establish a scalable digital foundation that can evolve alongside GVFB's services and the communities it supports.
The Team
Results
Greater Vancouver Food Bank established a more connected foundation for delivering client services across digital and assisted channels. The solution brings web, conversational, and phone-based intake into a unified experience while supporting automated eligibility processing, appointment scheduling, client notifications, and integration with existing systems. Most importantly, the platform provides a scalable technology foundation designed to help GVFB continue adapting its client experience as the needs of the community grow.
