Signing up for Google Crashlytics for iOS

  1. To start, you will need to be signed into your Google account (Gmail)
  2. Navigate here: https://console.firebase.google.com/u/0/ and you will see this screen, click on “Create Project” (*** if you already have a Google Firebase account, click “New Project”):

3. Fill in the name of the app and “Continue”:

4. Enable Google Analytics for Crashlytics:

5. In the “Choose Account” dropdown, select the last option called “Create Account”.  This will keep all of the Crashlytics data separate from any other Google analytics data.  Use the same name from step 3

6. After you click “Create Project” you will see some type of message about the project being created, this may take a few moments

7. Once this is done, click the “Continue” button to go to the Google Firebase dashboard (this is where Crashlytics is located)

8. Once at the Firebase dashboard, click on “Quality” then “Crashlytics” on the menu on the left

9. Click on the small “iOS” button

10. Fill out the form:
    1. RevStar will provide you with the iOS Bundle ID
    2. Give your app a nickname that is the same as the name from steps 3 and 5
    3. If your app is not in the app store yet, you do not need to put in the App Store ID
    4. If your app is in the app store, enter the App Store ID (comes from the URL - EX: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/yourapp/id123456789  ← This number portion is the ID)

11. After you click “Register App” from step 1, step 2 will give you a download button, go ahead and download the file.  Once you have this file, email it to your software delivery manager then click “Next”

12.  For steps 3 and 4, there is nothing to do, just click “Next”

13. In step 5, just click the “Skip this step” link in the bottom right (the app will automatically connect with Google once we put the file that was downloaded into it)

14. All done!
